We are Sara and Tyson Davies and together with our daughters Ella, and Genevieve we are the family behind Wild Child Flower Company. This will be our third growing season and we are so excited to be bringing local flowers to our community again this year. We both have a background in agriculture and worked for 10+ years on a beautiful organic vegetable farm in Noti, Oregon.
We fell in love with farming and the local food movement became not only our job, but our passion and lifestyle as well. I (Sara) began growing flowers wherever we lived and started offering floral services for weddings and events of family and friends. Flowers have always been a part of my life, my mother is a botanist and my grandmother an avid gardener, so I became drawn to growing from an early age. As I grew into motherhood, growing flowers and designing with them was a way to continue to keep rooted in the earth as I shifted to more office work and writing when the girls were babies. Flowers nourish my creative side, and they just plain make me unbelievably happy. I love the role that flowers play in the occasions of our lives and I love sharing their beauty throughout the seasons.
Wild Child was born in a beautiful moment in winter, weeding in my flowerbeds when I realized that starting a flower farm and design studio was not just a dream anymore. It had germinated into something that needed to be nurtured. With Tyson’s business background, our skills in organic farming, and our love of flowers and creating with them, we are working hard to grow top quality, unique, and seasonal fresh cut flowers here in the Willamette Valley. We hope to build a community of fellow flower lovers who want to know where their flowers come from, and that they were grown with a focus on stewardship, community, and a lot of love.
